Four Advantages of Using In-house Business Printers

A printer for small business makes your company more efficient. You will no longer have to wait until a photocopying center opens its doors for the day. Doing your printing in-house on business printers is also most cost-effective. Consider these four advantages of using your own office printers for all of your small business printing needs.

1. Print At Any Time
The conservation of time is important to every small business. Your company should not have to send documents for shipping at an outside location and then wait for those documents to be ready for pickup or delivered to you. When your company has its own colour laser printer and office photocopiers, you can print documents at any time and just walk over to retrieve them. Office photocopiers allow you to quickly make copies of any document.

2. No Limitations On the Quantity of Printing
Whether you need one copy or 100, office photocopiers do the work efficiently. You will not have to pay a premium for making extra copies of key documents. If you are working on the formatting or layout of a document, you can send each iteration of it to your colour laser printer and see what looks the best to you. It will not be a problem for you to try out different color combinations, such as multi-chromatic or monochromatic color schemes to see which one is ideal for the project.

3. Multiple Workstations Can Print to a Single Printer
Instead of having to coordinate multiple print jobs and send them to an outside location for copying or printing, having your own printer for small business allows you to set it up for multiple users. The printer can be networked to multiple workstations, allowing the staff of your small business to send all of their documents to the same printer. This reduces the time needed to get all of the printing done. It also eliminates the need for everyone to have their documents ready for printing or copying at the same time.

4. Make Photocopies and Print From the Same System
Many office printers also make photocopies. Instead of having to buy both a copy machine and a printer with the capability for networking, your company can purchase one hard-working and efficient unit. Many of these units can also send and receive faxes, which allows you to eliminate yet another device from your office space. The multi-functional capability of today’s office printers enhances their utility and saves you both space and money. These office printers also have a hard drive, which allows them to save settings and make queues of documents based on the time each document was sent. The information at hubTGI is useful and can provide you with additional insights.

In North America, professional consultancy license holders ought to have a Master’s of Education law. Candidates who wish to practice the mentioned professions in North America are obligated to have qualified for academic administration.

Why Masters of Education?
A master’s degree is highly regarded in the teaching job market. Professionals who have a Master’s degree are considered experts in their field of specialization. In general, having a Master’s degree is an excellent opportunity to advance a teacher’s career. Moreover, teachers with advanced degrees get to realize their maximum potential as they can impact heavily on their students’ ability to learn.

Master of Arts in Teaching versus Masters of Education
The two post- graduate degrees are different and ultimately lead to different career paths. Master of Arts in Teaching is a post-graduate degree that equips graduates on hands-on teaching expertise above the graduate level. Masters of Education graduates, on the other hand, specialize in matters concerning school administration and policy. Document Shredding Tips For Your Business

Choosing a document destruction company for your business is an important decision. Look for a company that is certified by the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) to ensure you are choosing a reputable company. Document shredding companies that are certified offer the assurance that the company follows the strict document destruction requirements of the NAID. The companies also undergo unannounced audits from the NAID to ensure compliance is followed.

The Paper Shredding Process

Most shredding companies that come to your business will provide locked security containers for your confidential documents. A shredding technician will collect your documents and bring them back to the record destruction company. They are then emptied into an industrial-strength shredder for complete and monitored destruction according to the standards of NAID. The shredded paper gets recycled back into paper that is then used in offices.

Why Your Business Should Shred Documents

The number one reason to shred business documents is to comply with laws that state you must protect your customer’s personal information. Shredding also benefits the environment by recycling unwanted papers. It also frees up much-needed office space by removing tons of paper documents. Businesses are also at risk for identity theft.

Shredding documents will keep private information out of the hands of thieves. If you decide to invest in a shredder for the office, then make sure it can handle a lot of paper. You can save money by purchasing your own shredder, but you will need to assign an employee to the task. Identity theft is on the rise and can happen in the office or online.

Office Security Tips

Make sure that only key employees have access to sensitive customer information. Create strict rules to accessing personal customer data. You can also save sensitive customer information in the cloud with limited access. Start the office in the paperless direction by minimizing paperwork. Many financial institutions, credit card companies and other business are switching to paperless statements and bills. Storing paper files is no longer cost-effective for most companies.

If you decide to hire a professional shredding service, then make sure they also offer e-waste services for your office electronic devices. When the time comes to replace your computer systems, you will need a secure e-waste company to wipe the drives of sensitive data. You will need to destroy office backup tapes and hard drives when purchasing a new computer system.

Limit employee access to business files that contain sensitive information that should remain confidential. Some thieves go through the dumpsters where businesses get rid of their computers. Your business secrets and security could be at-risk unless you use a professional e-waste company. Identity theft is a growing problem found throughout the world.

Top Three Reasons Why You Should Enroll Your Child in Summer Camps

After school is out, kids always immediately rush to go home and relax. Although it is a great thing for the kids to relax and regenerate after the long months of school, it is not something that should be prolonged. During the whole three months of summer, kids should not stay inside the home and spend the days on the couch just watching television or on their electronic devices. The longer this relaxation time is extended, the more these children succumb to boredom and indulging in unhealthy habits. Most of these unhealthy habits include, overeating, pulling all-nighters, and etc. These habits could happen every summer if no action is taken to get these kids out of the house. Fortunately, the best way to combat summer boredom and unhealthy habits would be to enroll kids in a summer camp. Camps promise lots of fun, social experiences, and connection with nature that is sure to engage children in the real world.

Constant Physical Activity
Most children spend their summer sitting in one position on the couch or bed, but with camps, they will spend almost all of their time outdoors running, hiking, swimming, climbing, and doing much more with their counselors and other camp mates. The time they spend outside running around will help them to gain strength, stay healthy, and prevent laziness.

Independence Growth
Kids will also be sure to grow independent while at a summer camp. Most camps do not allow children to have contact with any family or friends everyday unless it is a direct emergency. Most of these camps do this in order to help these children learn how to make decisions for themselves without an adult always behind them. The gain freedom and become wise with every choice they make by learning what is wrong and what is right without having an adult tell them.

Disconnection From Technology
Unfortunately, in today’s generation, most children greatly indulge in technology and can never seem to rest their eyes and minds from their phones, the TV, and the Internet. This increases a greater and unhealthier, stationary life for kids and does not promote healthy actions like exercise and spending more time outdoors. With summer camps children can quickly disconnect from technology and learn the importance of the real world and how it is better to spend more time engaging with other and nature. This will help to prevent both the current and future generations from relying heavily on technology for fun.

Overall, summer camps carry several great experiences that are sure to help children have a healthier and more fun-packed summer that will carry better memories than just spending all their three months in the house.

Gaining Admission To A Caribbean Medical School

medical student

Every year, hundreds of Canadian premed students apply to medical schools located in the sunny Caribbean. Canadian institutions reject many well-qualified students due to limited available educational resources. If you have considered seeking admission to Caribbean Medical School, what type of vetting process should you expect?

Tailoring Your Application

Most experts recommend tailoring your application as much as possible to the specific requirements set forth by every Caribbean Medical University of interest to you. Although today a number of accredited medical training programs in the region accept students from Canada, applicants should pay close attention to the admission requirements specified by each individual school. If you decide to apply to several different institutions to enhance the possibility of acceptance, you may want to consider tailoring your materials slightly to comply with varying institutional requirements.

For instance, in some Caribbean nations, most of the population speaks French. In others, English, Spanish, Creole or Dutch serve as the primary language of instruction. If you apply to multiple schools located in different parts of the Caribbean, it remains a wise idea to apply in the specific language of instruction. This process will demonstrate your ability to benefit from medical school classes taught in that particular language.

Formally Applying For Admission

Most medical schools in the United States and Canada expect students seeking admission to a physician training program to submit certified grade transcripts, a detailed written application, references, standardized test results and, frequently, a written (or video) essay. Successful first round applicants usually then receive an invitation to visit the medical school and conduct an interview with members of the Admissions Committee before receiving a definitive acceptance or rejection.

Admissions committees in the Caribbean may vary slightly with respect to specific course prerequisites and application details, but you should prepare yourself to meet all of these general requirements. For instance, even if certain schools do not require high Medical College Admissions Test scores, the chances remain excellent that several others will want those results. You’ll increase the likelihood of gaining an acceptance letter by applying to a number of schools.

Differences And Similarities

Older students may face some advantages by seeking admission to medical schools in the Caribbean. In the USA and Canada, strong preferences on the part of medical admissions committees often exist against admitting students over the age of 30. Since medical training today typically requires four years of medical school followed by at least one year of internship and one to three years of residency, some professors consider older students less promising in terms of their ultimate career potential.

One disadvantage that some students will encounter in applying for admission to medical schools concerns tuition and fees. Canadian students sometimes cannot expect any form of financial assistance to offset the costs of undertaking medical education in the Caribbean. This situation won’t impact affluent premeds, but may hinder the ability of other students to afford attending medical school overseas, especially in nations which prohibit Canadian expats from holding compensated employment.

Keep the Literary Wheel Turning with Beneficial Programs

A group of volunteers including parents, readers, educators, librarians, writers, young people, along with book and magazine publishers, collaborated in 2008, discussing a plan to make Canada a country of people that appreciate literature. Since then, three national summits have occurred in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, organized by these volunteers.

Summit for Literature

The organized summits opened the door of opportunity of discovery to national reading plans around the world. Brazil to the Netherlands has innovative ideas ready to uncover including the best of the modern programs, which Canada already has in place. The summits also brought more literature enthusiasts together, gathering well over one hundred participants to create more unique reading strategies. The National Reading Campaign was inducted in 2012 as a nonprofit organization.

A National Priority

Literature for Canadians, both young and old, is a national priority. Some organizations like this were created just to sustain, create and help Canadians evolve as a literary society. Everyone should have an opportunity to become, and remain a lifelong reader.

Positive Implications of Reading

A group of behavioral scientists, Janice M. Keenan, Stefan Samuelsson, Richard Olson and Brian Byrne, did a behavior study on groups of twins, just to evaluate how genetics affect reading proficiencies. It was a natural experiment; unique in its focus to distinguish how twins have differences and similarities in genetic reading and related skills. Studies were performed in shared environments with books in the home, shared teachers, peers, positive family support for reading, and classrooms. These genetic studies of reading were done for over two decades, and the results were important to Canadian literacy.

The study proved that on an average, it was relatively obvious that the first year of formal literary lessons, genetic differences seemed natural. There were studies completed on identical and fraternal twins in Australia, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom and Colorado and Florida, in the United States. The age of study varied between the end of first grade and by 9 years. Genetic and shared environment influences seemed less consistent, but positive environmental influences on literary growth were high.

It was also discovered that the relevant genes will depend, at least partially, on the specific reading and related skills being provided. Some of the skills included were word decoding, verbal comprehension and reading comprehension.

Lifelong Reading Begins Early

The study goes to prove that implementing early reading skills in children will help them to continue with an interest in literacy. In order to strengthen the interest in young Canadians, and keep that interest evolving, programs like the National Reading Campaign are importance.

Young Writer Promoters and Programs

Authors’ Booking Service started in 2006, with the intent of finding children and you adult creators of literary works. They work with schools and libraries in order to reach these potential authors. Believe it or not, there are over 100 high profile Canadian child authors AND illustrators writing creative works of literary art for all ages in both nonfiction and fiction, within multiple genres.

These young creators rank from those just getting started, such as budding writers, to those who have submitted and won multiple awards for their works. These types of children not only entertain other kids and adults, but also educate and inspire them. This promotes literature, and urges others to have a creative mind.

Discussing the literary state of Canada at the time, it recognized the funds for school literature were relatively short. Many schools could not afford to have an interesting author visit, and the staff was quite over worked, many managing multiple libraries or locations. Coordinating a literature in house field trip was not feasible, nor was it financially obtainable.

This is where ABS stepped in, providing schools and local librarians with obtainable authors to provide presentations and do workshops. Surprisingly, these authors are all either children or young adults. This in itself makes the program more enjoyable for students, because it is done by students. Not to mention, many school staff members, librarians and young writers are not aware of the funding available. This introduces young potential authors to hope, that they may one day be an author themselves.

The company manages to provide this surface by charging a small flat fee. It goes towards website maintenance, mail list subscriptions and paper brochures. This is work that is enjoyed, not for the money, but for the presentation, and promotion of youthful, new authors. This is a thrill for all the young writers, because they get to visit and encourage others.

There is currently a fine group of young literary artists doing presentations, including, Rona Arato, Janet Wilson, Marsha Skrypuch, and Loris Lesynski.
Authors’ Booking Service has recently partnered with the renowned OLA Forest of Reading program, working with children and young adult nominee bookings. This program helps those with bookings geared towards their success, make the trips to presentations and award ceremonies.

Young would be writers can benefit from programs like these and find their way to additional funding that can pave a path to the future.
